OMEGA was created in 1999 as a means to provide regulatory solutions to Property Owners and their Managers throughout the Southwest.

Since that time, OMEGA has successfully assisted Owners throughout Texas, California, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Louisiana, and Arkansas, on over 10,000 units, with a variety of compliance issues.

Our Founder:

Monnie Smith, TCS, began her career in the DFW Multifamily Housing Industry  in 1983. 

Her extensive Property Management experience includes all of the following rental Property:

• Conventional Apartments

• Affordable Housing Apartments

• Single Family Homes

• Condominium                           HOA                  

• Townhomes

• Strip-Centers

• Mid-rise Office Complexes

•  Duplexes

• Vacant Land

Ms. Smith has been a loyal member of the National Center for Housing Management (NCHM), since 1998, and holds the designation of     Tax Credit Specialist (TCS).

Monnie has been involved with compliance management since 1994, and was present when the very first TDHCA training class was given in 1995.           

Ms. Smith was also present during the very first File and Property reviews conducted by TDHCA, in 1996.

Prior to initiating her career as a Private Consultant, Ms. Smith was last employed in the private sector with a large Multifamily Property  Management Company in Dallas, Texas, as the Director of Compliance  overseeing over 3,000 units.
